Magi, omnis orbis reges (from Polish)

Here is a Polish Christmas carol translated into Latin, which Aleksandra Klęczar was kind enough to send to me from Poland (she teaches in the Classics Department at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow). In her note, she explains that the translator of most of the carols which she has sent is the famous Polish classicist Ryszard Ganszyniec (1888-1958).

Magi, omnis orbis reges,
quo sic properatis?
Cert(e), ut natum Redemptorem
Jesum videatis.

Puer thronum hic non habet
Neque sceptrum tenet,
Prophetia mortis eius
Totum mundum implet.

Reges mundi, cum saevitia
Infans iam vexatur.
Fama tristis: en Herodes
Natum insectatur.

Magi tendunt in Bethlehem,
Fama non turbantur,
Stella monstrat Salvatorem,
Firma spe laetantur.

Ono w żłobie, nie ma tronu,
I berła nie dzierży,
A proroctwo Jego zgonu,
Już się w świecie szerzy.

Mędrcy świata, złość okrutna,
Dziecię prześladuje.
Wieść okropna, wieść to smutna,
Herod spisek knuje:

Nic monarchów nie odstrasza,
